Workstations Tough Enough for Your Work

Strong Hold Workstations are Built for Productivity in the Most Demanding Industrial Settings

A shop table covered in paperwork. Tools stacked on the floor because the bench is full. Heavy parts staged wherever there’s an open surface. When a workstation isn’t suited for the actual job, the crew spends more time working around it.

Strong Hold workstations are built for the most demanding industrial environments, with all-welded steel construction, incredible load capacities, and storage options that put what your crew needs within reach. Made in Louisville, Kentucky, by American craftsmen, they ship fully assembled and are backed by up to a 99-year warranty. The question is which kind of workstation fits your work: a table, a desk, or a workbench?

Industrial Shop Tables: Space to Take on Bigger Jobs

A shop table is a heavy-duty work surface used in industrial, maintenance, or workshop settings to assemble products, inspect parts, stage materials, and perform other hands-on tasks. It typically has an open top accessible from multiple sides.

Assembly, inspection, and parts staging can quickly take over a work area. Strong Hold shop tables give crews large, open, heavy-duty surfaces with room to lay out components and work from multiple sides.

These tables are built around weight capacity. Many models pair a 7-gauge steel top with 2”x 2” x ¼” steel angle legs, offering a 12,750 -pound tabletop capacity. Table height adjusts on adjustable-leg models, from 30 to 40 inches, so you can set the working surface height for the task. For especially heavy-duty applications, Strong Hold offers half-inch steel plate tops rated for up to 20,000 pounds.

Capacity is only part of the decision. A simple steel top leaves room to stage large components or upgrade your shop table with other tabletop options, like a maple butcher block, an ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) top, a UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) top, or a stainless steel top.

Additional storage and configuration options help your Strong Hold shop table work even harder. A lower shelf keeps equipment off the floor without taking up working space. 400 lb-capacity drawers bring frequently used tools close to the job. Bin configurations help your team store and manage those small components that can easily go missing. Some tables include riser shelves or pegboards for additional organization.

What sets these tables apart is the combination of heavy-gauge construction, tremendous weight capacities, and practical choices. Start with the size of the work surface, then storage options and height configurations that make sense for the work being done on it.

Workbenches: Put the Tools Where the Work Happens

A workbench is a dedicated station for hands-on work such as assembly, repair, and fabrication. It needs a surface that can take daily use and a place to keep the tools and materials the job demands.

Strong Hold builds workbenches with heavy-gauge, all-welded steel construction. The lineup includes 12-gauge steel and stainless steel options, with heavy-duty maple or steel work surfaces. Select maple tops place 1¾ inches of butcher block over 7-gauge steel, giving crews a durable surface for demanding work.

Sizes range from 30 to 120 inches wide, with 24-, 30-, and 36-inch depths. A smaller bench can establish a focused repair station without taking over the shop floor. Longer benches provide room to lay out larger assemblies or give multiple people space to work. Available heights and base configurations also vary, so you can match the bench to the space and how you’ll use it.

Storage can be as straightforward or as extensive as the job requires. Choose an open shelf for equipment that needs to stay within reach, or add drawers and enclosed compartments to organize tools, parts, and supplies. The collection also includes configurations with upper compartments, locking storage, and vise shelves.

That flexibility lets you build a station around the work instead of working around the bench. Whether it supports one technician or a busy crew, Strong Hold workbenches put durable surfaces and the right storage together where the work happens.

Shop Desks: A Command Post for the Floor

Work orders, packing lists, inspection records, and shipping documents all need a place to land. A shop desk gives crews a dedicated station for managing that information close to where the work happens.

Strong Hold builds shop desks from all-welded 12-gauge steel for industrial environments. The collection includes widths from 36” to 48”, with most desks measuring 28“ deep. That range offers room for a compact receiving station or a larger workspace for coordinating production and shipping.

Configurations include riser shelves that keep active documents and supplies visible, open lower shelves for frequently used materials, and drawers for smaller items. Select desks add enclosed, locking compartments when components or supplies need to be secured. Wall-mounted and mobile options give teams more flexibility in how they use their floor space.

Built for the pace of a working shop, these desks give paperwork and day-to-day supplies a dependable home, without taking valuable space away from assembly, repair, or parts staging.

What Makes a Strong Hold Workstation Different?

A workstation earns its place on the floor through years of use.

Strong Hold builds our workstations with heavy-gauge steel and all-welded construction, then offers configurations that solve real problems: high-capacity tops for heavy parts, shelves for equipment, high-capacity drawers for tools, risers for active paperwork, and locking compartments when contents need to be secured. Specific desk and workbench models use a one-piece, all-welded body; maple-top and plastic-top models reinforce the 7-gauge steel tabletop beneath it.

We manufacture every Strong Hold workstation in Louisville and ship it fully assembled, ready for work. Most models carry a 99-year warranty. Those details matter when a workstation is an everyday part of production, rather than a temporary place to set things down.

How to Choose the Right Workstation

Start with what the crew does at the station every day.

Choose a shop table when the priority is open space for assembly, inspection, or staging. Check tabletop capacity, dimensions, surface material, and whether adjustable height or under-table storage would help.

Choose a workbench when hands-on work and tool storage belong together. Match the surface, drawers, shelves, and compartments to the task and the number of people using the bench.

Choose a shop desk when paperwork and coordination are part of the operation. Consider how much riser, drawer, open-shelf, and locking storage the station needs.

Before ordering, always check the specifications of the exact model.

Build the Work Area Around the Work

A table makes room for the job. A workbench puts tools and storage at the point of use. A desk keeps the operation organized. Strong Hold builds all three to take their place on an industrial floor and stay there.

Strong Hold’s vast line of shop tables, workbenches, and shop desks ensures there is an option to fit your workflow. With over-engineered construction, thick steel gauges, and industry-leading warranties, you can rest assured that your investment will pay off over its lifespan.
